An original Five Pack Studios design, this platter was a proof-of-concept born of two questions: Can we take full advantage of both sides of a cutting board, and how difficult would it be to make something like this without a pressure chamber?
This first-of-its-kind features a Canarywood centerpiece with the paired negative on the reverse side.
Trimmed with Claro Walnut, Purple Cedar, and Cherry with Yellowheart accents; the platter is made with Afromogia, Ash, Bocote, Canarywood, Caribbean Rosewood, Granadillo, Leopardwood, Padauk, Purpleheart, Shedua, Tropical Walnut, Tulipwood, Walnut, Wenge, and Zebrawood.
All completely natural and uncolored exotic woods on a charred pine substrate, carrying the Five Pack Studios signature burned and natural aesthetic.
The corners are made with aged Cherry, marbled with resin in a pressure chamber.
*Since it was made with conventional methods, without the Modular Pressure Vessel, several issues arose along the way resulting in a degraded final quality. All future platters will be made with the MPV!
